I was feeling so desperate over the situation that I did something I have never done before - I skipped to the end to read the last three pages!!! I just wanted to know that there was a happy ending. I made it to Chapter 40 (the chapters are short) and I cannot turn another page. There are few books that I have ever given up on - and this is one of them.
